Stitch and fiber

The sewing and fiber arts area is set up for members’ fabric projects.

  • Several household sewing machines, with one rock-solid Kenmore always out and ready
  • A Sailrite Fabricator industrial sewing machine for lightweight fabrics through 1/4″ of leather or vinyl
  • A Brother PE900 embroidery machine, with many thread colors and stabilizer provided
  • Large tables and fabric cutting mats, rotary cutters, and rulers
  • A gravity-fed steam iron
  • A good supply of threads and notions

Household sewing machines may be used by members without a class—though introductory sewing machine classes are offered.

To use the embroidery machine and industrial sewing machine, members must take introductory classes, which are offered twice monthly.
